Zabłocka thermal saline water is extracted in Dębowiec near Skoczkowo located in Cieszyn Silesia area in Poland. The water is extracted from the depth of 500m (1640 feet). This deposit of saline water contains one of the highest levels of iodine in Poland and the world. In one liter of Zabłocka saline water the amount of iodine exceeds 100mg. The saline water was created millions of years ago when a part of the ancient ocean collapsed as a result of earth tectonics. Through eons hermetically sealed sea water was transformed into saline water with unique composition and properties. Zabłocka saline water is categorized as medicinal saline and thermal water. It is used for medical purposes, healthcare baths and inhalations. Today everyone can benefit from this unique water at home.

Why iodine

Iodine is a scarce chemical compound. However, it is required by organism in order to properly function. Deficiency of iodine is the behind the diseases of the thyroid gland, slower psychological and physical development, it can be cause of miscarriages and congenital defects in children. Often the deficiency of iodine is represented through an enlarged thyroid gland also known as goitre. Humans require only about 200 millionth of a gram of iodine in order to properly function. The bathing water should have a temperature of 37 - 39C (99 - 102F) and the bath should last from 10 to 30 minutes.
